Ahoy! 5 boats sailed course 2 with about 11 knots of WSW wind. The current was fair for eveyone and the windward work was down to just a mile for the last leg from C23a to Nun 6. This lined up the boats for a corrected time to reflect a finish opposite of the of the elapsed time. Gloria gets the advantage as the slowest boat on the course and Apres, today singlehanded by Steve Besse, and the fastest, corrected to last place. Seems no one made a huge error. So it goes. It was the nicest day on the water with the smoke from the Canadian wild fires blown away by Hurricane Lee. Blue skies and good views of the Pat West gaff-rigged race which started just an hour ahead of our start and finished, close reaching up the harbor for their finish as we beat our way further southwest to Harry's Nun. I'm guessing we will have some more good weather for our post season series and all are invited to join in. Next race Thursday, 4 PM warning...course #0 or #0R.
