Ahoy!
10 boats raced the triangle course with a windward starting leg. It was a South wind so the reverse direction was chosen. Trinity won with time to spare but the other 7 positions corrected to within 2 minutes. The strong wind was the reason as everyone was flying at hull speed....with a current to help. Only 8 of the ten boats were scored as the 2 boats that were OCS (on course side or "Over early") did not return and restart.
Saturday the VHYC will be welcoming HHSA members to the Jewett Bowl Pursuit start race. HHSA members are encouraged to join in and can register online. The $25 entry fee is covered by your HHSA membership fee so why not? The link to the online registration page is below. At the payment form simply click the VHYC club option and enter "HHSA" as the membership number. The race uses PHRF-NE ratings so this is a good chance to see how that works for you for a change.
