Ahoy!

    8 boats sailed across the sound and back on Course #5 in a pretty decent Northeast wind.  The big boats that needed the wind, got it and kept close enough to the lighter boats to score well.  Encore took her adjusted rating in stride and finished first on corrected time, just 16 seconds ahead of Trinity who was just 13 seconds ahead of Soma Holiday.  

    Next race is the last Thursday Evening race for the 2023 season.  Next Sunday will close it out and identify the Jewett Cup winner.  Wednesday, the 6th of September, will be the Annual Pot luck awards dinner, this year held at the VHYC..6PM.  That is, Awards for the season's sailing winners, not for the pot luck....though past history indicates everyone who comes will likely enjoy the fare.
