Ahoy!
2022 HHSA sailing begins in earnest with the season's first chance to score a coffee cup in this year's annual Tune-Up race. Sunday, June 12th, 1:00 PM Warning signal. The race was originally conceived as a way to get people to prepare their boats and get on the water earlier in the season. We have always encouraged all to join in regardless of intentions for the season with the hope the early outing will wet their appetite for more fun all summer long.
The forecast currently is for light winds so we won't be going far. This may a good chance for the smaller boats to enjoy a sail without the worry of slop in the Sound. We are also hoping for a good turn out of H-12's to try Phil's new windward/leeward course. Their start follows the big boats by 5 minutes.
No preseason race today, Thursday. You've had your chance to practice...so onward for the cup!
