Six boats sailed today in perfect conditions. Course two is pretty hard to beat, it is a good distance, and good skills are needed to sail though the harbor. Leap of Faith , Crown Dance and Whirlwind finished within 45 seconds of each other in that order. Jim Jones in Lila had good race for his first time on the boat this season, the Kerr's on Patch of Green appeared to have good boat speed for most of the race and Stuart on Providence with his grandson Owen and Beverly were kind enough to make sure we all got across the finish line and back on our moorings.
On Thursday the first horn is at 4:40 with the start at 4:45. I will be leaving the Shipyard dock at 3:45 if anyone wants a ride to and from their boat, please let me know.
The first of many big thank yous to Ryan Stephens and the V.H.Y.C for starting and finishing our race. It is really nice to have a committee boat at the start and finish of the race.
Phil
