Holmes Hole Sailing Association announces sailing for 2021 season

Ahoy Vineyard Sailors!

The Holmes Hole Sailing Association announces the 2021 sailing season will begin with the annual Tune up race on Sunday June 13th with a 1:00 PM warning gun.  This year, as last, the fleet will race as one division, uniting A and B division boats.   The race this year is dedicated to the memory of Dan Culkin, former Commodore, who passed this winter at his home in New Jersey.  He will certainly be joining us on the water in spirit.

The HHSA is welcoming the up and coming Herreshoff 12 fleet which will sail as one design on its own courses.  HHSA Coffee cups will be in the offering to the winners of both Regular HHSA and Herreshoff races.

The VHYC will be providing all committee boat services and will be welcoming the racers after the Thursday evening outings at their snackbar for dinner.  Covid regulations will determine policies as the season goes along.  The Thursday evening races will start an hour earlier in the biggest change for the season.  5:00 PM warning gun for the regular boats.   That will give us more time to get to the Yacht Club and enjoy the setting sun's light.

Please sign up now and pay your 2021 Dues now.  Those who will also be joining us for the end of season Moffett Race can save time and money by registering for both at a slight discount.  Look for the Green button on the website.

Attached please find the ratings for 2021.  Schedule is available on the website.

Need some practice?  Informal Pre-Season racing will commence Memorial Day Weekend.  Watch for announcements.

Wishing everyone the best sailing season yet…or at least normal!
