Ahoy!

10 boats raced today starting with a half mile windward leg south to Nun 6 before heading across the sound towards Falmouth.  Tyche showed up in case the decision was for a harbor course, but wisely decided not to cross the sound.  The sloppy seas and fast ebbing currents made for a roller-coaster style ride for the smaller boats and some of those skippers were wondering why they didn't spring for a larger version.  The Ferry "Woods Hole" crossed the starting line early and was immediately "Cancelled" by the entire fleet.

Trinity was a little late starting her first HHSA race of the season.  David single handed the C&C 37 like he has been doing it his entire life...maybe he has?   Adam Hayes in Bliss finished first with 2 seconds to spare over second place Angelina.  Bliss has joined HHSA for 4 of the so far 7 season races, one more race than any of the previous 5 seasons.  He seems to be looking for his groove and today found it.

The Herreshoff 12.5 fleet sailed a more friendly course upwind into the harbor on their course #2.  Phil Hale, the organizer reports close racing with the following results:   Whirlwind, Bazinga, Pandora and Sweet Pea.  More will be coming from this group of small boat sailors.

Next race Thursday Evening, 5:45 PM warning for the H 12 fleet, 6:00 PM warning for the regular racers.

    All the Best,  Roger.
