12 Holmesholers found unexpectedly sunny conditions today as the predicted thunderstorms and showers were nowhere in sight. Not much wind either and a harbor course #1 was chosen with a beat to East Chop as a first leg. The little wind that carried everyone there slowly petered out and the race was shortened to once around. I was watching closely and I'm sure Tamu's engine wasn't ever turned on but I could smell his afterburner the entire trip around the Holmeshole Triangle. Together Tamu and Apres finished before the wind died completely, and went home with the cups.
Next Race is 6 PM Thursday evening, the 4th of July. What a better way to celebrate? You'll surely have time to watch the fireworks after as there will be no dinner served at the VHYC.
