Ahoy!

The last race day of the season was full of surprises with very challenging light air conditions.  The wind did not just shift, but actually changed direction as each leg of the race was accomplished.  The strong flooding current in the afternoon made taking advantage of the changes that much more important and that much harder to do.  Morning race was changed from course 1 reversed to two legs, out to C23a and back.  The afternoon reverse course 1 was shortened to once around.   Everyone seemed to get the word and there were only two DNFs. 

Awards dinner is Wednesday, 6:00 PM at John and Lisa Stouts, just a short distance down the hill from the library off

Main street.  Watch for the mailbox on the right marking the stone wall entrance to their shared drive.  Pot Luck, call Lisa with your ideas for what to bring.  693-3929.    All are welcome. I'll bring the final results for the Aug/Sep Series, season's winners and the winner of the Jewett for the year.   Hope you had a great summer of sailing fun.
