7 boats sailed the race this evening.  Rawson's report follows.  Joie De Vivre won by 33 seconds over Zebra in second place.  

Sunday will be another attempt at a race to Tarpaulin Cove.  Forecast calls for light winds (6-8) building for an after noon return in 10-12 knots of SW wind.  We will make the decision to do the Tarp race or an afternoon standard Sunday race Saturday afternoon.  I'll send out the starting times again also by Saturday...there are a few changes from the previous list.  We will have Rawson monitoring the pursuit start but we will rely on each boat to either report their time of finish or report which boat is either ahead or behind at the finish.  The finish is when you get to within 30 feet of the Coast Guard Mooring bouy (Big Ball) passing to either side.  If there is a close finish, and a disagreement, witnesses will be called in, or if no witnesses, it will be declared a tie.  If those staying for lunch want to start back at the same time, I'd be happy to score an ad-hoc race back to Nun 6, just report your time of finish at the buoy.  Gotta love the HHSA!  

Mid season, end of July standings are also attached.

Ahoy Roger!

We had a breezy and fast race this evening! 8 boats made their way to the line, with 7 ultimately starting the race (Penelope appeared to run into issues again and headed back into the harbor prior to the start of the race. Winds were 15-20 kts with gusts into the mid 20s out of the N/NE. The fleet was met with a whitecapping swell and many of the rigs were reefed. We ran a course 0 in reverse, with the start off of Buoy 6, sending the fleet out to East Chop first. The whole fleet finished within an hour and all within 10 minutes of one another. It was an exciting day of racing!

5:05 PM start, Course 0 in Reverse, winds 15-20 kts gusting 25 out of the N/NE
