Holmes Hole Sailing Association Announces its 2025 Sailing Season Schedule

Ahoy!   It's MAY and time to get the boats in and out on the waterways!

The HHSA will be conducting sailboat races all summer long with some Early Bird pre-season outings beginning Memorial Day Weekend.  Our schedule will continue with Sunday and Thursday Evenings with racing of some combination of the 10 courses developed over the last 49 years.  The Tune-up race will be June 15th with a 2:00 PM warning gun and based on wind conditions could go into the sound or not.  That's the first race that will find a coffee cup winner, but it won't help towards the season's Jewett Cup championship quest.  You will have 20 or so chances to add some points towards that over the summer.  Having been deterred from racing to Tarpaulin Cove for a year or two, we have scheduled three possible dates for such a race hoping one will yield conditions to our liking.  More details about how the choice will be communicated are currently being considered.  The End-of- season-all-comers-invited-Moffett Race requires a separate entry, but you can save by registering before June 15th for a $10 discount.  The schedule is holding July 10-13 open so all HHSA sailors can join with Sail MV for the Vineyard Cup race weekend and the date of the VHYC Jewett Bowl is still to be determined.  Otherwise, you can see you need to register your boat for the HHSA regular season so as to make sure your rating is properly established and entered into the computers for 2025.  The link below will take you to the registration page and give you a chance to pay up.  The Holmeshole.org website has everything you need to know with more link buttons to all sorts of interesting sites and information.

I hope to see everyone on the water sooner rather than later.  If you are bringing a new boat out this year...please email me directly in addition to registering online to give me a heads up.

All the Best,  Roger.
