Sunday's pre-season outing.

Ahoy!

The scheduled Sunday preseason race has served its purpose...getting people to prepare their crafts for the coming racing summer season.  4 Boats did start the course #1 and 2 reported finish times.  There were equipment issues in two cases, nervousness of high winds, pressing household repairs and an apparent college reunion hangover which kept some who had planned to attend from making the outing or completing the course.  Hopefully all 8 early birds will resolve their issues in time for next Sunday.  Same 2 PM warning signal...watch for updates from Mo.  All are welcome and encouraged to get some practice in before the June 18th Tune-up race.

Of the two reported finishers, Penelope, even though carrying her 15 sec/mile Jewett penalty for winning the 2022 award, beat Bliss by 1 minute and 46 seconds corrected.  Bliss was across the finish line 5 minutes ahead of Penelope.

Strong West/southwest winds which posted near 20 knots with knock down gusts and peaceful lulls presented the challenge on Sunday.  The course was #1 in the standard clockwise direction.

All the Best,  Roger
