Ahoy! 7 hopeful skippers started today's race but the wind wasn't enough to overcome the ebbing tide and no one finished. Time dragged on and with the wind showing up neither from the North, South, West or East, the fleet motored back to the Harbor. The H-12's meanwhile did finish their short version and scored as follows:
438, 268, 359, 342.
Next race is Thursday, after an early in the week Northeast gale and rain. Hopefully it will clear out for our 5:00 PM start.
The 45th Moffett Race is in the works and registration is open. Everyone is welcome. 18 to 70 foot mono-hulls compete in one class, modern and classic designs together. Its like a boat museum staging a parade with a good old all American competition all thrown together. Don't miss it. Could be your year. You never know.
You can respond to this goolglegroup email and all who subscribe will see your message. Hopefully this will encourage more interaction between HHSA members, friends and others interested in Sailing on Martha's Vineyard.
All the best, Roger
