Ahoy!
Alan Wilson, skipper of Altius, secures his lead and wins this year's Hugh Schwarz HHSA Post Season Cup. This was not a runaway and in fact, Wendell and Beck Colson sailed Silhouette to a first place finish today with just 5 seconds to spare. The three regulars were joined today by Mike Powers sailing Artful Dodger in his first post season race. He had a long day on the water, coming over from Falmouth for the event, but the day was made for it. The predicted NW wind backing to WSW was indeed the case, but the weather reports leave out all the in between gyrations that come along with that simple statement. It was course #2 in reverse so we had a chance to sample the autumn tides again. We are going to look into the dirty bottom problem in these post season races. Maybe ban bottom cleaning post Moffett race???!!!
Consensus is its time to put away the boats and plan for next year. For those needing more sailing, there is always a good day or two in November, so have at it. Holmes Hole will be putting up the records for 2021 and start looking at the Data for 2022 ratings. Stay tuned.
