Ahoy!
7 boats for course 2 in a west wind that went South both literally and figuratively. The ebbing tide made for many failed expectations as most everyone underestimated the current's strength at the RG buoy and at Nun 4. The GPS never seems right and as soon as the mark is spotted the tendency is to sail for it regardless of the off course alarms!
Bliss won the race by 3 seconds over second place Altius. Those hanging out on the course long after the early finishers were rewarded with a significant drop in wind velocity and some poor results....except for Altius!
There is some interest in putting in an order for some new Holmes Hole Burgees. I will be taking orders with delivery date before Christmas. Watch for my email...soon to follow with instructions about how you will need to send me money by October 15th. I'm hoping for at least an order of 12 to get a quantity discount.
David says Trinity is finished for 2021, Mo will be back on Thursday and the weather looks like it will be summer until Thanksgiving.
