Ahoy!

10 boats showed up for this evening's race.  The course was laid to East Chop first and the windward work was sloppy in the short steep waves rolling in towards Nun 6.  Different tactics as to when to take a hitch east resulted in a real mix in order at Can 23a.  Julia Lee again was the winner.  She will take a penalty of 10 Seconds per mile for the remainder of the season (at Least).  No one can deny that she is bringing up the rear of the fleet to a lot closer than in season's past.  The VHYC Sonar, sailed by Peter Howell and the Kings was the fastest boat on elapsed time but just 7 seconds ahead of Silhouette.

Two H-12's raced twice around the H-12 Course 1.  Stuart Halpert just beat out Phil Hale in the "for fun" outing.

The HHSA extends thanks to the VHYC for providing starting procedures and taking finish times both on Sundays and Thursday evening.  Note that the committee boat will post the course for the H-12s 4:45 PM start and then post the course for the regular HHSA fleet.in time to prepare for the 5:00 PM start sequence.

The Snack Bar at the VHYC is highly recommended and most of the racers took advantage of the offerings.

There is still time to sign up for the SailMV Vineyard Cup race which will be held on July 10th and 11th.  You'll need a PHRF certificate, but that is easy to procure and at little cost.  Go to the MVSail website to register.
