Ahoy!
Strong winds in the high teens and low twenties with gusts as high as 32 kept the HHSA fleet down to just 5 starters. Two other boats, Altius and Sienna, were in the area but they didn't make it across the starting line. Gloria's boom was stripped of some reefing hardware and she retired before reaching Nun 6. Angelina was the winner by a good 5 minutes and Tamu was the fastest on elapsed time. All the Alerion's had plenty of crew to help tend sails etc, but the design certainly has proven it's ability to handle the strong winds we seem to be getting more and more of.
Reminder: Vineyard cup registration is on going.
Next race is Thursday 5:00 PM...that's an hour earlier than previous years, Michael.
