Ahoy!

Rip-Roaring 15-20 knots from the southwest with gusts recorded as high as 32 knots around 2:00 PM.  Nine boats came out to see what was the commotion, seven started and six finished.  The committee boat had trouble getting their anchor to hold in 20 feet of water in the high winds.  They delayed the start sequence by 4 minutes after they thought they had found holding ground, but alas were drifting by the time the last of the boats got across the line to start.  There were a couple of mistakes in time keeping and crossing the finish line and a few were definitely hurt by the drifting start line but as the results were not closely contested on corrected time, I've ruled the 6 finishers "HEROS" and declare the results stand.  Who is going quibble over a few seconds after enduring the high wind conditions and sticking it out until the end?  Everyone has promised to do better next time.

Congratulations to Jerry Goodale and Crew on Sienna.  First Coffee cup for 2020 for Jerry!

The hoped for first race of the H 12 fleet was cancelled because of the conditions and they will be attempting a race on Thursday.   They will be starting 15 minutes before the regular HHSA racers.  Please stay clear of the line while the H 12s are in their start sequence.

Conditions for Thursday are forecast-ed to be the usual perfect for an evening sail.

    See you there,  Roger.
