Hi, I made an error in recording the times for yesterday's scoring of the race.  At Last is still the winner but by less than One Minute.  Thanks for timely reporting of finish times...I hope to have the results as soon after the race as possible...but  I am doing the scoring only after returning to Chappy after the racing.  You can email me or text the finish times to 774 310 0023 right from your boat!

We have 3 new boats this season, so far.  I ask that skippers remember that the ratings during first five races are somewhat arbitrary based on available past performance of similar boats.  When I have five finishes I will average those scores and change the rating to reflect actual performance.  Then, after five more races, a number that reflects all ten races well be applied for the rest of the season.  HHSA racing includes everyone interested.  Boats and skippers of every description, equipment and experience are welcome and ratings are established based on actual experience in HHSA races on HHSA race courses over the last 3 seasons.  Ratings reflect performance compared to the other boats racing with the HHSA not imaginary boats on a list of a thousand possible designs.  Improvement of performance is the best way to do well in HHSA races, but luck in weather conditions and high participation rates are also major determinants especially over the entire season.

See you Thursday evening.

Roger.
