Ahoy!
After conferring with Race Committee members, the Fall Series
for the Schwarz Cup is now officially complete. Roger Becker
will be providing final standings soon. The Vig is on the hard,
and most boats are readying for haul out. Magic Time, Tango
and on Sundays, Avanti, will be available for ad hoc racing with
Charlie officiating from the VHYC dock.
There will be no race tomorrow unless I hear word from competitors
who want to be on the water. Right now I know of only two who
would commit to race.
Thanks to all for making the effort to come out for fall racing,
a time I think that is the most beautiful stretch of the sailing year.
Again, if you want to race, please let me know and I will try
to make it happen. My thanks to committee members for
their advice and assistance, especially Phil Hale and Commodore
Ex-Officio Dan Culkin. Thanks to Charlie and Mary for their fall
committee work and, again, to Lisa Stout for making us all
sound so good in her articles this summer.
