Post Season Racing and the Hugh Schwarz Cup.

Ahoy!

The post season racing for the Hugh Schwarz cup will begin Sept. 17th, Thursday, at 5:00 PM at Nun 6.  Racing will continue until Mid October or until competitors stop showing up. David Lott will announce the race schedule while monitoring weather, tides and level of interest.  The scoring will be as follows:  Each competitor must sail at least 5 races.  A race with less than 5 competitors starting will not count.  The average of the best scored 5 races for each competitor will be compared to determine the cup's winner.  Ties will be broken in the usual manner.  (Most best finish positions).  Cup to be awarded at the Winter Dinner. 

Racing will be scored as one division.  Starts will be as in previous seasons, windward or leeward depending on the direction of the wind.  If no committee boat is on station, take and report your own times.
