Ahoy!  

8 boats showed up for the last in-season Thursday race.  The rainy morning yielded to sun and mild winds for a perfect sailboat racing afternoon.  Trinity won the race by 35 seconds over Gloria with Apres just 13 seconds behind at third.  The dying wind was again to the fast boats' advantage, but this time in just the slightest way.  Clearly the September tides were on the march, with the ebbing current working hard to slow the path from West Chop to East.  Our last in-season race is scheduled for Sunday and the forecast is showing high winds.  But who is counting on these predictions now with our changing climate?    

Still time to sign up for the Moffett race.  

The Awards pot luck will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM as usual at the VHYC.  3rd place still to be determined.  

Sorry for the delay in this reporting....Glitches are always out there ready to get you.
