HHSA: Thursday's Results - August 6, 2026

Ahoy!

    10 boats sailed the triangle with a windward starting leg.  Generally there was plenty of wind and some boats reefed, but  there were holes here and there and playing the currents along East Chop seemed to help.  Maitland won with 7 seconds to spare over Silhouette in second place.  Truckin was the elapsed time winner, but corrected to 4th place, 10 seconds behind Artful Dodger in 3rd.  

    Sunday is our next race and it will be to Tarpaulin Cove using a Pursuit start format.  Starting times are below and attached.  The forecast is for enough wind and currents will be favorable going and returning.  However, if the forecast changes the race could be shifted to the usual 2:00 PM race time for fleet start of some other course.  This decision will be made by 6 PM Saturday.  If you are not on the list, and intend to race to Tarp, please let me know so I can supply a start time.

It was a perfect evening for our classic Thursday evening Course 0. Ten boats came out to race and the breeze turned on just in time for our start. Our line was pretty square when I set it, but at the start, a strong Westerly shift brought the whole fleet over to the boat end, so I apologize for our skewed start this evening. If I could have dropped the Vig back, I would have! Penelope was over the line by a nose and I reluctantly called her over, though she made great time around the course. It seemed everyone enjoyed this beautiful evening, and I look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday for what’s shaping up to be a fun day, fingers crossed! Our results were as follows:
