Ahoy!
11 boats started out for Tarpaulin today in winds that were consistently over 15 knots with gusts in the 20's. Maitland dropped out but the other 10 beat their way in some steep choppy waters as the favorable current slammed into the SouthWest winds. The pursuit start, managed by Rawson on the Committee boat, came off without a hitch and winner was Artful Dodger. That Tartan 3500 found the winds to her liking and the waves like butter. Penelope and Tamu were second and third. 6 boats stayed for lunch and sailed back in winds that actually were a bit stronger with the current turned to again favor the sailors. Here are the final results:
1 Artful Dodger
2 Penelope
3 Tamu
4 Silhouette
5 Joie de Vivre
6 Zebra
7 Sierra
8 Trinity
9 Gloria
10 Bandit
DNF Maitland
