Ahoy!
3 diehards showed up for another beautiful evening's sail with just enough wind for 2 of the 3 to finish the race. After the downwind work, making the best of the dirty bottoms and whatever gusts of maybe 7 knots that came along, the beat back to Nun 6 from East Chop against a raging October flooding current, became a hunt for where the wind was strongest. Turned out to not be on the East side, but each boat had to go over there to see for themselves. Big hint....in light air, you want a light boat. Gloria won. I think mostly because I have brush on a stick that will reach almost to the center of the boat. The keel is a different story, but at least I can get the water line and rudder scraped off.
May be good for Sunday so keep a watch. No one is complaining about the Temperature but the Sun seems in a bit of a hurry.
All the best, Roger
