Ahoy!

6 Boats for a second try at Course 7 reverse.  The autumn's west winds have called into service this challenging course, unused until this years post season racing. The screaming falling tide bashing into the sometimes strong winds raised some chop and white caps disguising the actual wind strength which wasn't that strong and which died off as the clock ticked off the finish times.  Silhouette was first to the finish line and first in corrected time.  Alan Wilson got the call from his family that his daughter gave birth to a little girl who had put off her arrival time a week or so and as he was filled in on all the information on his second grandchild, Alan lost tract of where he was on the course.  Realizing his error too late to make up the time, he chose to head for his mooring.... Happy, none the less.

The race for the Hugh Schwarz post season cup is heating up as might be expected with the unique scoring system put into place years ago by Commodore Dan Culkin, when the cup was first offered.  Each contender can potentially drop off poor showings in favor of a more recent finish and the current tabulation shows the results.  Bottom line, you still need to do well to advance your score.

Thursday is also looking good for another go around.

Roger.
