David,
I have a risk of no crew for Thursday. Weather cancellation would solve that problem.
I see a possibility of only four confirmed boats if race is on. Two scenarios could get us to five.
1) Somebody joins me to make Lagoonah the fifth boat.
2) Someone else could be in the same situation as me, and I could crew on that boat and make it the fifth.
Either way works for me if it comes down to that. Let me know.
Frank Lagoonah!

David
I see gust to 30 knots Thursday not the best day to sail.
I will be out of town for a week,
Ready to race no the 5th
Not ready for the season to end

Ahoy!
Weather looks iffy for a race on Thursday with a 92% chance of rain at 5 PM, winds
from the ENE at 22mph with higher gusts, according to weatherunderground.
Will monitor the situation. Race will be canceled by 3 pm, if weather is not good.
Boats confirmed not racing: Gloria, Trinity (out for season), Providence (out for season), Penelope and Tango
We need at least 5 boats for the race to count towards the Hugh Schwarz Cup.
Weather notwithstanding, Avanti is prepared to race. Others? Magic Time? At Last? Tyche? Stormalong? Lagoonah? Isabella? Wonder? Masquerade? Apres?
With the sun setting at 6:34 pm on Thursday, the start will now begin at 5 pm.
Charlie will be manning the committee boat, should the race go on as scheduled. Charlie
will also be on hand with the committee boat on SUNDAY, 10 AM start. No rabbit format
needed for the next two races.
Post Race gathering, as usual, at Rocco's.
Many thanks,
David
P.S. Rabbit Race Reminders
1. Look at your watch/GPS/cell phone as you go over the finish line. Write down the time.
2. If you are near other finishers, take their times as they might forget until everyone gets used to this scenario.
3. To complete a race and have your results counted, you need to complete the 3 C's:
a. Cross the starting line
b. Complete the course
c. Cross the finish line
4. The Finish Line:
You need to pass within 50 yards of Red Nun #6 and between it and, either a committee boat on station, or the VHYC dock.
5. Email your time to Roger Becker
