Ahoy! 7 boats found the starting line, 3 in Division A and 4 in B, for the 2019 Tune up race. Plenty of wind drove the heavy Sienna at hull speed while the lighter boats needed reefs to keep under control. The start was flawless and apparently there were no breakdowns as all contenders finished in good order. It was course #8 to the big bridge at the Edgartown/Oak Bluffs town line and back. About 16 knots from the SW with plenty of gusts in the 20s.
Thursday evening will be the Season's opener with a 6 PM B division warning signal. Results and supper will be available at the VHYC galley deck after the race. All are welcome.
2019 promises to be a great season with lots of great sailing for everyone.
