Re: Sunday race

Dear Colleagues,

It won't be me covering your race. I've alerted my editors of a conflict in my assignments. I can't attend. I am going to the Charter School graduation. But have a great sail.
My editors may send someone else.
Happy sailing summer,

Mark Lovewell

Subject: Sunday race

H.H.S.A.  sailors;

Sunday race start at 1:00 world time.

We will use the Rabbit Start.

I will pick the direction of the course and will act as the committee boat. The horn sequence is as follows.

First horn 12:55

Second horn 12:56

Fourth horn 12:59

Fifth horn 1:00 start

The plan is that at a few seconds before the starting horn (@ 1:00 P.M.) "Tango" will pass buoy #6 headed toward the West Chop Shore everyone will pass between "Tango" and the mark that is your start. "Tango" will swing around and to leeward of everyone and the race has on...

My guess is we will go West to East twice around, will make a final decision on the water Sunday.

As you across the finish line record your time and either you can or I will pass it on to Roger; who will calculate the results.

Also Mark Lovewell form the Gazette is looking for a boat to sail on and to take some pictures; How is interested in sailing with Mark?

see you on Sunday

Phil

A chilly NE wind at 15 knots did not deter three boats from getting in a little practice.

Phil Hale will be sponsoring a Sunday race, twice around starting at !:00 PM on June 7th.

Most have remitted their dues, but a few are holding back.  Please get paid up so I can finalize the scratch sheets. I don't want to have to leave you out of the scoring because you forgot to get your dues in.

Kick off Pot Luck to be at the Besse's on Saturday at 6:00PM.  Watch for announcements.

Sorry so late with results, trying to get Gloria ready to go.

Roger.
