To all Holmes Holers:
The racing season go off to a good start this evening as the gloomy weather lifted and suddenly we had a sunny late afternoon with NNE wind...steady at 10 knots. Charley Felder ran the race from the Vigilant and he selected the West Chop, East Chop and back course. The start was attention-getting with six fast boats doing close to hull speed and generating a little more shouting than normal. Line honors went to Andy Berry in Isobar assisted by a bevy of High School sailors. The corrected time finishers were Mo Flam in Penelope in first place followed by Jerry Goodale in Stormalong, Kathy Logue, Ernie Mendenhall in Rocinante, Dan Culkin in Magic Time, Phil Hale in Wicked and Andy Berry in Isobar. Next event is Sunday 6/17....a sound race at 12 noon.
