Greetings!
 
Four of Nine A division boats finished the course #2 Reverse after light air barely enabled those to achieve the NW Mo A bouy mid channel, with an ebbing current running increasingly strong.  Apres finished within the time limit after gaining the east out of the current south of the West Chop/East Chop line.  The other three finishers waited for the stronger wind to finally push them around the mark.  A dash to the finish added to the drama of the day. 
 
The B division race was not completed within the time limit and abandoned.   Evelyn May, undaunted,  completed the course only minutes behind the finishing A division boats...Bravo. 
 
Those attending, but not finishing, receive a score equal to the number of competitors plus one.  This is done to encourge participation regardless of conditions.  Scores for the other abandoned race, to Tarpaulin Cove on 7-10-11 will be revised to reflect this policy.
